As soon as I see some dandelions in bloom, I will pick some and do a blog post about it with a photo.Joyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15471639876072617577noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-76507605785411302492010-04-13T14:07:57.469+02:002010-04-13T14:07:57.469+02:00PS I just remembered I have a lock of my daughter&...PS I just remembered I have a lock of my daughter's hair mounted in a tiny double frame with a picture of her on the other side. At the time her hair was the color of summer wheat...I knew it would not stay that color. I'm so glad I have the picture and lock of hair.
Madi's MomMy Mind's Eyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12014097754516123017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-85034463558418116952010-04-13T14:04:16.767+02:002010-04-13T14:04:16.767+02:00Hi Max's Mom, Madi's mom here.
Oh what a l...Hi Max's Mom, Madi's mom here.
Oh what a lovely post!!! One of my most treasured possessions is a paper cut out of my daughter's silhouette when she was 5. Beside my computer there is a little piece of pottery she made in 1st grade (she is 38 now). I keep it because quite simply it makes me smile. Once she made me a coupon holder out of construction paper. It was very colorful. I have it...oh and all the little notes she used to write.... When my hubby and I were date he used to leave me chewing gum with messages on the wrappers.I have them the gum is hard as a rock. HA!!The first ring he ever gave me was the pop top off a coke can....I have that too.
Oh my gosh I could go on and on.
Thank you for this lovely post!!!
Madi's MomMy Mind's Eyehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12014097754516123017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-77153098083163392342010-04-13T05:45:19.267+02:002010-04-13T05:45:19.267+02:00We keep things because our heart tells us to.

She had a strand of braided horse hair from her first horse ever. She has all her moms stuff - in boxes. She died 10 years ago.
3 pair of skinny levis that she cannot get into.
Mom says no one better ever give away her precious memories.
That is what they are- memories.
love
tweedlesTweedles -- that's mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01349728497621875670noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-73400184979765631912010-04-13T03:11:41.360+02:002010-04-13T03:11:41.360+02:00I am so smiling at the theme here!

So you stay tuned.
I keep things because of the people I think of when I see the "thing." I'm incredibly sentimental, a sap. As we grow older we NEED people to be sentimental so they'll keep us dusted, clean and in good form! ☺Scout and Freyjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01423843978069675292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-85613995301656418002010-04-12T20:15:42.365+02:002010-04-12T20:15:42.365+02:00Oh my goodness, there aren't blog pages enough...Oh my goodness, there aren't blog pages enough for me to photograph and list all of the goodies I have kept over the years: snips of my son's first haircuts, school papers and report cards, my son's cast from his broken arm, sugar cubes from a tea party held over 20 years ago, my scrapbook when I was 11 years old, toys and collars of dogs that have passed away, a book JUST LIKE THE ONE YOU BOUGHT FOR YOUR MOM but with a slightly different poem (great minds think alike), all of the Christmas ornaments my sons made for our tree when they were in school, little clay figurines and bowls my boys made in grade school, my cat, Camille's whisker that fell out and I found by chance (they are supposed to be good luck), all of the Christmas decorations that belonged to my parents, old silverware that belonged to my mother, my size 6 blue jeans (I should have them bronzed☺), old calendars with pretty pictures too nice to toss out, candy that is so old I would never eat it but it looks pretty in the glass jar as a decoration (that one is really weird), a prayer book written in Polish that was my great auntie's (wish I could read Polish), a toy Cocker Spaniel that my aunt Ann gave to me for Christmas when I was 5, a Cocker Spaniel bank that my father gave to me when I was 6, the medical records of all my dogs and cats going back decades and decades - how much more would you like to know, hehehe!Scout and Freyjahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01423843978069675292noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-33450870052608794222010-04-12T17:23:56.259+02:002010-04-12T17:23:56.259+02:00Oh mercy! A collection of porcelain shell angels sits in the bookshelf. I have some teddy bears that my husband gave me when we were dating that I haven't been able to give up. There are all sorts of greyhound paraphenalia, too.

I'll have to try and get a picture of the butter cow that goes on display every year at the State Fair here in August. I think it would fit in with your cows!houndstoothhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02159272473651561647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6339087872750174307.post-59884471134713420562010-04-12T16:22:09.507+02:002010-04-12T16:22:09.507+02:00Way too many things that have sentimental value he...Way too many things that have sentimental value here, but in Florida the marzipan would have melted or have been taken away by the bugs...but I do have a lock of fur from my first dog and her dog tags... a yellowed wedding cake top, that looks totally disgusting, ...a leather bracelet that my brother wore before he died, that is broken and his pink lava lamp!... 5 stuffed animals from my childhood, over 40 years old...literally boxes of my kids artwork and school work, they are both grown and gone,
and the list goes on...

-Kira The BeaWootiful's Momthe magic sleighhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09757293678354960424noreply@blogger.com
