COME WALK WITH ME IN MY GARDEN...

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
MAXMOM here...
("There's someone at the gate, Mom!")

Hello there everyone.
It's Sunday, so I thought I'd invite you into my garden...
(Resident Masked Weaver bird)
(Resident Rameron Pigeon)
(Toby cooling his feet off in the pool)
(Gooseberries arriving out of 'nowhere')
(Feather cleaning time)
(My mint is growing prolifically!)
(A turtleneck dove flies off after a drink of water)
(Weaver and his nest)
(Toffee...the KING of the garden!)
(Fruiting bushes)
(Yes, we have grasshoppers too! This one arrived on my pillow at sunrise)
(And bees!)
(More feather cleaning time)
There is nothing more tranquil and rejuvenating than a garden!
For this reason I have created a chatroom for us...
...our own 'garden' of companionship.
Those of us who have visited already have been uplifted enormously.
Please come along.

So many great photos of your lovely garden and adorable babies!...So much to catch up on=how exciting Toby will be in the Annie play, although he's already a star!...Sorry the Christmas card was so late; I mailed all my Christmas stuff on 12-20, just been very overwhelmed with 2 jobs the last few months...Toby is growing so fast, hard to believe he was just a small baby a few months ago!...I hope you and your family are happy and well, Caryl...I will be visiting your new chat room later this week=what a fabulous idea!...Take care, sending big hugs to you and big kisses to your gorgeous babies=love you all!

Greetings Maxmom, Loved these photos-such beautiful birds and how blessed you are to have such a lovely garden filled with your pups. Toby is getting so regal looking and adult but I bet there is still a puppy in there.
Have a splendid week.

Hey MM,
It's really cold here in Bumpass this morning so we really liked looking at the garden. We have a big bird and squirrel feeding area with lots of feeders outside our kitchen window; the cats call it BIRD TV. But it too cold for more than an occasional visitor, they're all nested up to keep warm. Even the squirrels are cloistered somewhere. Toby sure is growing up. He's a very handsome pup. Our best to Tammy and Toffee.

Hi Caryl!! Long time no chat. Sorry, I've been so busy!! :-P

Toby is really growing up. He is just such a handsome boy! Love the picture of Toffee KING of the garden. Hehe! What a beautiful yard and garden you have!! Sunny weather is fun, huh? We have lots of sun right now too. Its supposed to be winter and I just took a walk wearing flip flops, shorts, and sun glasses!!

Hi Maxmom,

It's nice to see your photos and all those lovely birds and plants - I wish we had your sunny weekend weather here. It's summer, but we've had days of strong wind (so broken brances lying around our garden)and heavy rain (with flooding in the North Island of New Zealand, although nothing as bad as the floods currently in Australia). It is so hot and humid that there was even thick condensation on the outside of our house windows yesterday and I couldn't see out - but Golden Retrievers have a good coat for water, so Riley had the windswept wet dog look on his walks between the heavy rain!

Called into your chatroom, but no one there, so will try another time.

Woofs,
Riley (and his mum)

The little yellow bird doing his grooming, looks like he is doing a circus act. How beautiful he is. With all the many birds in the forest, I have never been close up to see a bird grooming. Yes, we see ducks, but never thought of birds grooming like that.
Your new camera is awsome, and you are such a splendorious photographer.
King Toffee looks so proud to be king of the garden.
And when our summer comes, I would love to cool off my feet with Toby, in that pool too.
It has been fun "chatting with you in real time" over at the chat room.
