BRAIN FARTS...What are they???

GR..EETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
TOBY here...

Hello there every-buddy!
It's me,TOBY today...about time, hey?
I think maybe you've all forgotten that I also have a voice. mmm...?

Yep, I'm getting big now and Maxmom said I can have a chance at telling you my news.

She said that I must tell you that my trainer said that I had a 'brain fart' yesterday.

mmmm....does any-furry-buddy know what that is?

As you all know, I am busy training for my role of 'Sandy' in the stage production of 'Annie' in May this year and geesh, it's hard work!  Maxmom gets me going at all times of the day to practice my moves.
I am always on the go.

"Sit Toby! Look Toby! Away Toby! Come Toby!"

There are so many commands to learn...it never stops! Although it's tiring work, I really enjoy learning and I get to go to many interesting places too:
I go to the schools to meet many interesting children and I get to go to my beautiful training grounds....often.  It's great fun:  I always go and say hello to Donkey first when I arrive at the training grounds .
Donkey and I like each other very much!

Anyway, all this training has made me very tired and yesterday my trainer said that I had a
"Brain Fart"
Please tell me, what's a 'brain fart"?

Look, I know that my mind was elsewhere yesterday, but a 'brain fart"!? What on earth is that?

Do you think that it is because I wasn't concentrating or is it that I just wanted to sniff at everything instead?
Is it because I found Donkey and Sheep more interesting than Maxmom?
Please tell me....?

Anyway, my training didn't last long yesterday and Maxmom took me home.

This is what I look like when Maxmom isn't entirely pleased with me...
When I am a little uncertain, I always tuck my right paw underneath itself. Sometimes I chew my paw too - for a short while only.

But I must tell you...I love being at home where I get a chance to relax...

...and be in my beautiful garden...

and swim...

and play with my Aunt Tam'...

...and go for walks and be with my pack...

Home is the best, I think!

But Maxmom says that I mustn't rest too long, there is lots of work to do.
Tonight I have my formal obedience class again.

I hope they don't tell me I've had another 'brain fart'...

whatever that is....???
Can you guys explain perhaps? Do you have 'brain farts' too?

mmmmm.....Humans!

Sending lotsalicks to you all.

I believe brain farts are a painful condition in which your electricals tell you to do entirely the wrong thing resulting in stern face from the humans. I hope you recover.

Brain farts are when the humans forget that you are still a pup and might need a day of rest :) Just kidding, we know your Mom always treats you with the utmost respect for what she can expect you to do. But every now and then, we all have an off day. We are sure that your handsome self will be brain fart-free today.

Toby, you are a teenager - they are well known to have many and many brain farts at the most inopportune times!

My goodness, you are growing into such a handsome young boy!

I KNOW what one is cuz Mom has them alll the time. When your brain farts, it is concentrated on that and you have no idea what you were/sposed to be doing or looking for. We have a new member of our pack that farts in his brain as much as the other end......Hope that helps.

Awww, having a brain fart isn't so bad. It's just like you said,,maybe that Donkey distracted you.
No worries,,,everyone has them!

Toby, let me start by again saying what a handsome, handsome boy you are!! I cannot believe how quickly you have grown! That sweet little puppy has disappeared on the outside, but I know it's still there on the inside--That's what a 'brain fart' is--The struggle between what you know and what you didn't know before--My crew gets it sometimes too, and don't tell anyone, but sometimes I do too!!

Oh, yes! I gets those sometimes! For example, when I was in middle school, we were taking a test on "leave it." Now, usually I'm SUPER good at leave it but that night when mom put down that tasty treat, I had a brain fart and didn't leave it at all. In fact, I gobbled it right up. I tried to tell mom that I thought she said "EAT it" not "LEAVE it" but she didn't believe me.

The best cure for brain farts is just what you're doing - relaxing and being a D-O-G!

At least they're not stinky. Brain farts.

Hi all - it's Toby's trainer, Shannon, here... A brain fart is when the brain is having its own little mardi gras and without any conscious effort something just kinda "plops" out :-).

It's a very common occurrence and is nothing to be alarmed about - personally I find the odd brain fart from my students quite refreshing. It's nice to know that they are "perfectly imperfect" - just like us humans :-)

Sweet Toby, all the VERY best stage performers get "brain farts" sometimes. It means yoo're a bit overwerked and yoo fluff yoor werds/commands as a consequence. All yoo need is plenty of rest and spoiling ~ wiv lotsa treats thrown in, and yoo'll be as right as rain! We think yoo are BRILLIANT and we're very proud of yoo.

A brain fart is when all you can think of is...... food! As soon as you eat some treats, the brain fart is gone.

You've gotten so big, Toby!

I have brain farts all the time! I like to think that it's because I'm learning so much that it's hard to cram it all in there. So when I need the information, I have to sort through it all and it takes a bit.

Hey Toby! It's nice to meet you! I am Amber-Mae from Malaysia & I was one of Max's friends. I haven't been keeping up with blogging for a long time but I am going to try my best to get back on track with it. I'll be adding your blog to my friends list!

Have a wonderful day!
