TOBY- A patriotic SPRINGBOK

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
TOBY here...

Hello there to all my fur-buddies around the world.
I am very proud today, because Maxmom has finally allowed me to be an ambassador for my country. She is allowing me, the Sweet Hooligan TOBY, to represent...

SOUTH AFRICA!
Why am we all particularly patriotic today?
Well ,today is SPRINGBOK FRIDAY and it is also the start of the
in New Zealand.

You may recall that MAXDOG was a wonderful TOUR GUIDE and patriotic South African too:

Even when he was sick, he tried his best to represent his country:

Aunt Tam and King Toffee tried to help him too when he wasn't feeling well:

It was a big loss, when he finally crossed the Rainbow Bridge, but I have steadily been filling his shoes.  Maxmom says that I've done a great job, so she was happy for me to pose with our flag and show off my patriotism:

I even got to put on the
official Rugby World Cup Jersey...
(although I was nervous of it, so Maxmom didn't keep it on me for too long)

Anyway, I wanted to wish all the teams in the Rugby world cup a wonderful tournament in New Zealand.  Judging from their amazing opening ceremony, it's going to be an exciting event to watch.  So,
Good luck to all the teams and to our Springboks...
"GO BOKKE!"

My eyes are on you, Boys!
"FETCH that trophy!"

---xXx---

I also have another special wish to make - to my special buddy, Donovan... It's his barkday tomorrow.  So, Donovan....
HAPPY BARKDAY!!!
Have a great day!  And because you are my buddy, you can help yourself to one of my biscuits:

ONLY ONE!
Thank you for being my handler, Don'...

I'm looking forward to seeing you next week at our next show.  And tell your 'wifey-to-be' that this rose is for her....

Lotsalicks to everybody and have a wonderful weekend watching the rugby.

Oh Toby, there's you going and giving Gail ideas. I DO NOT WANT TO WEAR A SCOTLAND RUGBY SHIRT!!! NOR AN ENGLAND ONE. NOR ANY SHIRT AT ALL COME TO THINK OF IT.

OK, got that out of my system. Toby, you will make the best imaginable ambassador for South Africa, a worthy successor to Maxdog.

Enjoy the rugby.

Toodle pip!

Well done Toby. I'm sure you will follow in Max's paw prints and make amazing paw prints of your own in your new role.

Whenever I see dogs and South Africa combined I think of Max (like the SA dog collar and dog tag I told MaxMom about) as I learnt so much about your country from Max.

No doubt you, Maxmom and the boss are all counting down the hours (25 and a bit) until your team play their first game in the RWC2011 against Wales.

Lots of woofs,
Riley (and his mum)
