GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
(ABOVE: I took this photo of this magnificent creature from a game-drive vehicle in 2008 at the Sabi Sands game reserve. This incredible animal is usually solitary and elusive, yet here it was - less than 4m from our vehicle. What a privilege it was to see this leopard in its natural environment. It had just eaten off its kill and was being followed by a hyena.)

Hi there everyone,
I have been so saddened recently by some of the photographic footage I have seen on the internet relating to the carnage and destruction of our wildlife heritage. So today I thought I'd put up a bumper post of photographs - from my own files - of our beautiful South African animals, etc.
May this be a reminder to us all that our natural heritage is a precious thing, something we need to honour and preserve. We only have one planet. Let us strive to do it good...
