"OUR AFRICAN SAFARI" (Book)

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
MAXMOM here...

Dear friends,
I've been having a bit of fun this week ...
I've basically been trying out the software for "Bookblurb" - an online self-publishing service.
My idea was to create a coffee-table-type book, for my own 'private' purposes, in order to record our recent excursion to Shibula lodge.  We had such a fabulous time (as you know) and I wanted to preserve the memory.
Well the end result is not bad, so I thought I'd share it with you.

Since this book is comprised of a large number of photographs, it is extremely pricey, and not intended as a commercial venture.  The purpose in this post is merely to share my project with you - not to necessarily entice you to buy it,(it's really expensive)
(Obviously you are welcome to buy it - if you so choose)
I can't wait to get my copy...it should arrive here in South Africa around the 27th July.
Take a look above or
on this link:
Have a wonderful, happy weekend.
Sending lotsaluv

The book looks beautiful, the design is pleasing to the eye and the photos of course wonderful - what a lovely memento of your holiday. (I am curious to know how long it took to master the software?)
Cheers, Gail.

Hi there Gail,
It took me a very short time - probably 24 hours. I've constructed this book within a week (off the blogposts) - but admittedly I've put in a LOT of hours!
Glad you like it. :)

Hi Maxmom
We looked at your memory book too, and it is spectacular! It looks so nicely presented!
I know it will be a treasure for you forever! I am so happy that you chose to do this!
You can read it over and over, and hold it close to your heart. You have already captured the feeling when you took your notes on your trip.
You are a fantastic writer, and so I know the words and photos will be treasured forever.

Caryl,

What an amazing and remarkable place you call home. I hope you don't take it for granted for one moment. Perhaps now that I have my wings back one day I'll be able to make the trek to South Africa and share in your incredible world. Thank you for sharing. The books looks amazing!
