LADY TAMMY'S RELUCTANT ATTEMPT TO PARTICIPATE

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
MAXMOM here...
Hello there to all my friends across the globe...

Usually I am rather adverse to dressing up animals.
Okay, let's be honest...I don't like it at all!
But, in the spirit of trying to brighten up the blog as well as to participate in broader blog activities, I finally got a picture of our dear

"LADY TAMMY"

which we are submitting to the 'Red Bandana Event' taking place on the 10th of June at

(Do go along there, submit your pictures and have some fun!)

Here are a few other pictures of our dear
TAMMY

This is really not Tammy's scene at all!
She would far rather be doing this...

Or this...

or this...

or this...

or this...

Or this...
So all apparel  is off and she is happy again.
Lady Tammy has decreed that 'au naturelle' is the name of the game!

Sending lotsaluv to everybody.

Tammy - The Herd is so with you on this one. Au naturelle is the only way to go - and we love your roaching pictures.

She's such a beautiful doggie - and Apples & Neeli agree - no dress up for dogs!

Hello Tammy,

You're all beautiful naturally but we do appreciate your taking part in the Rad Bandana Day.

Our Mama enjoys playing dress up with us so we manage to bear it for the flashy box. We do get away with ripping some of our clothes whenever we get the chance to.

Do take things a day at time, Tammy. We do want to learn how to fly jump like you in your last photo.

Tammy, we're not in the "dress up our dogs and cats like babies or dolls" camp, either, but you do look marvellous with that fuschia scarf. :-)

Oh yes, Tammy. That dressing up thing is not for me! Me and Brudder Ranger both prefers to let our natural coats dazzle the world. Some doggies are awfully cute when they dress up - like Bella and Lorenza. But not us!

Glad you got freed from your encumbrances! (Do you like that word? I just learned it. It's BIG!)

Wiggles & Wags,
Mayzie

I love Tammy - from what you've written, she's a personality much like my K. My impression is that she's tentative and timid but her fun side can be brought out by a caring human like you.

Love the photos, especially the au natural ones! But, the bandana one is very classy!

I've always had rather large dogs, except for my spaniels. A German Shepherd, even one that is female, doesn't look all that cute in clothing but can look rather snappy in a bandanna. Scout always looks handsome but every now and then a sporty bandanna is fun, especially during the holidays.

My spaniel, Savannah Leigh, always looked wonderful in her bandannas. She was as black as night with fur that literally glistened when struck by sunlight. Now there was a dog that could wear a bandanna and show it off well.

However, for the occasion of the bandanna event I went into the dogs' stash of bandannas and selected a few that they will wear today for a photo. Shhhh, haven't told them yet, though. I even grabbed a couple for the c*ts but I'm not all that sure they will cooperate!

Mr. Scout would like the Lady Tammy to know that he believes she looks splendid with or without human clothing. Mr. Scout is convinced that the Lady Tammy rivals Venus with her glorious countenance.

The doggies that live in this house totally agree with you No clothes for us dogs. So Tammy run free. You sure are a beautiful dog. We do need to get our assistant to get us something red to wear and take our picture. Thanks for keeping on reminding us.The assistant is very forgetful.
Have a great day
Also thanks so much for visiting our blog.

Tammy, woo look so beautiful! My mom doesn't put stuff on me to wear either because the first 3478532445 times I would chew, scratch, bitey, and rip it up to pieces. She learned now.

Aw Tammy we know that getting dressed up is no fun. We think you look cute but we agree that au naturale is the way to go!

Oh I think that Lady Tammy au naturelle is just perfect. Can you believe that Gail was trying to locate some ghastly red tartan cap for me to wear for this 'red' thing. I am so pleased that I hid it well and she can't find it....

Oh, Lady Tammy is such a silly girl, but she sure looks magnificent in her magenta feather boa...very elegant!

Thanks for the reminder. I have to find something red for Gizzy to put on. He doesn't do clothes either, but I might be able to figure something out for the boy!

Thank you for visitng my blog. My mother in Germany has a cousin who lives in South Africa, but I don't know much about them, except that I was always impressed at how wide spread our family tree is.

Take care and God bless you!

I agree with the others thoughts, she looks good either way!!! I don't like to dress our dogs up either, but one of our senior girls used to love wearing scarves/bandanas--I'd take it off of her and she'd just stand there kind of lost and I'd get another and put it on her and she'd seem so happy--I think it was because she knew she had a long neck and the scarf hid that flaw in her beauty!! :-)) Hope you're doing well Caryl!!!

Tammy looks so pretty with her red feathers!

Wish I had a digital camera so I could participate in this contest. Chico came with a shirt or two so I know he's worn clothing before but I've never put anything on Shiver. I think he'd fight me and then try to chew it off.

Tammy appears to be the sort of girl who is happier chasing feathers than wearing them, so it looks like a red dog collar (or red tags on her collar) might be her limit!

We go along with playing dress-up as long as there are lots of treats involved!
You look lovely, Tammy!

Love ya lots,

Our girls are good sports about letting us dress them up for pictures or occasional special nursing home visits. They much prefer au naturelle, as well, though!

Forgot to ask - how are the other members of the pack doing ? Guess Tammy was the closest. We were surprised to discover that such a thing as deep canine depression exists - and how! Took a full two weeks to begin to get over it and start getting back into the old routine.
