PUPPIES!... ONE WEEK OLD!

PUPPY GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM here...
(One week old!!!)

Hello there dearest furbuddies across the world!
Whew! I don't quite know where to start...

I have another wonderful dose of
GOLDEN PUPPY FEVER!
There is absolutely NOTHING better than PUPPY BREATH!!!
... to lift the soul and make one feel alive again!!!

A very, very, very special...
"THANK YOU!!!"
to our dear friends, Zena and Alan, at

RUFFITWOOD GOLDEN RETRIEVERS

for this incredible privilege of being part of the development of your pups...
...and of one, in particular, which is destined (hopefully) to enhance our lives...
... in about seven weeks time.
I am bursting with joy at the potential of this dear little life!!!

Molly - the amazing mother of this litter - is doing very well!
She is a totally devoted, loving 'Mommy'..
so, so beautiful indeed!
She even found the time to give me a hug!
...and loved getting a tummy rub from me!
...and she let me peek at her babies...
They are ALL adorable, but yes....
....It seems that I might have fallen in love with one of them in particular.
I know it's far too soon to choose - afterall they are only one week old at the moment - but there is one little one which acts like a magnet to me!

Those of you who follow this blog might well be able to guess which one it is!
:)

...It shouldn't be too difficult to figure it out!...

Molly allowed me to hold "him" too...
"I promise to be very gentle with your puppy, Molly!"

While Molly was letting me look at her beautiful puppies...
"Daddy" FLANNIGAN was telling me that he also wanted to see me...
Flannigan is a magnificent Golden!
Here he is telling Zena how much he adores her...
Don't his ears remind you of some doggy's ears, who recently crossed the Rainbow Bridge...?
"Yes, Flannigan, you are a handsome fella indeed!"
After saying "Hello" to Flannigan we went inside to watch the puppy weigh-in...
The pups have more than doubled in weight over the past week!!!
(This one weighed 1,3Kg)
Well done MOLLY!!!

...but I couldn't keep my eye off 'my' little one...

His/Their eyes aren't open yet...just a few more days!

(So???...which one stands out???...isn't he fabulous?!)

Thank you again,
Zena and Alan,
for the wonderful privilege of being able to watch these beautiful puppies develop!
Thank you for allowing me into their space too
... and for allowing me to share them with all our fur-buddies across the world!
You have truly incredible dogs and I am honoured to be associated with you!

Sending warmest wishes to all our friends across the globe,
Lotsaluv

They are all so cute! It is wonderful you are able to spend time with them (and thier parents and breeder) while the puppies are so young, and have the chance to see your new golden friend grow into the puppy you take home.

It has been 7 years since we have had puppy breath in this house (Queen Natasha, since the others came to us as adults - well, teenagers). That puppy breath smell is so soothing. Fun to see them so young.

Thank you so much for sharing those puppies. Oh my, they are so little, so round, and so CUTE! You're very lucky, indeed, to be allowed such close contact. I love the photo of Molly supervising you while you hold your little one. And, the father is a very handsome dude! In fact, both parents look gorgeous and appear to have great personalities. What a wonder in every way!

Thanks!

Awww! They're all so darned cute -- I'd just love to squeeze each one of them! I don't know how you resist putting up a tent there in the back yard and waiting for him! I sure hope the seven weeks goes by quickly! Molly and Flanagan both look like wonderful parents.

Well Gail is sighing over those cute little paws - quite forgetting that she once told me that my (multi-coloured) paws were the cutest in the whole world. Obviously she meant to say 'the whole world except the Johannesburg area'....

Awwwwwwwwwww - YES I can guess just which one you have your eye on! But they are all soooo cuute and indeed, puppy breath is just the best! Avalon's human mom chose our puppies for us (amazing, as she seemed to have been spot on in choosing!) and we weren't allowed to visit til 3 weeks, but we all saw lots of photos on thir blog if you'd like to look (http://blog.tiganagoldens.com/?m=201003) Avalon has the pink collar! How special that you are able to see these gorgeous ones so soon! You look so happy, and so does Molly - who looks relieved and blissed out to be petted by you. And Flannigan is certainly gorgeous - wonderful that he is on the property too! Zena is a wonderful breeder - glad to see how fast the puppies are gaining weight - wow! Oh big congrats to you, MaxMom!
Huge Hugs xoxoxo

Aww! Your 'chosen' pup is the cutest of them all! It is so neat that you get to watch them all grow up, and then bring one home. I fully approve of your decision of the little cream colored boy. :)

I think a little light colored pup is in your future!

Ahh, I have tears in my eyes as I type this, just seeing your happy, beaming face as you cradle that little furball. Truly Max's spirit has found a new home to occupy. (Our dogs find us, it's true!) I am just thrilled for you and the newest member of your family. Can't believe how big and grown-up looking those pups are after just a week. Eagerly awaiting the next update.

Love,

Just look at that little boy's feeties! They are BEGGING to be kissed - just begging☺ If ever there was a lucky puppy, not just in South Africa, but on this earth, it is that little boy. I know deep in my heart that he will have the best of care and love on the planet! What a great, new dogmom you are gonna be!

How do your other dogs react when they have the opportunity to sniff you once you get home? Is Tammy really curious?

And, the pappa - he is a REALLY big Golden! Reminds me of someone I know who is in heaven.

Maxmom,
I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Tears of joy and tears of sadness for Tommy's passing.

Your words were so perfect and moving and hit my heart so sharply, that when I read your post. Well, waterworks!! It's okay, though. No worries. I can type through them.

You know, I was so heartbroken when I stopped in and saw that Max passed, on my BD no less, but I am proud to share his passing on the my BD with him.

And I find it ironic, that here I am coming back to your blog for the first time since then, and here is your first post about puppies and one of them will be yours!!! Coincidence?? I don't think so!! I could tell right away which one would be yours. LOL. (I have happy tears gushing now!) The joy of seeing you with the one-week old puppy is just what I needed.

It's why we ride this roller coaster of life. Why we love so deep and care so much and cry so hard. Only to experience it all over again. It is better to have loved and have lost, than never to have loved at all.

You have so much love to give, never stop. And your words you wrote to me were so kind. Thank you for that. It was so hard to learn. I tried so hard to heal Gertrud. But I couldn't. Now I am at peace, just being with her. And it benefits all my patients that I visit. It makes me a better Pet Therapy person. I am more like "Josie"...LOL...she just "is"..that is why I always say...it's all about the dog!!!

I love your new blog and CANNOT wait for all the new postings of the new puppy and whatever adventures await you in the future. Thank you for welcoming us back and for all your kind words. I am honored to consider you and all of my blog friends, REALLY friends, even though we never met.

Much love, MB, Josie and Blues

Puppies are so wonderful...although you forget how much a handful they are until you get one!

I rescued a puppy from the middle of the street almost two months ago, and our lives are upside down again!! Torn up stuff, endless energy...my poor 5 year old dog wonders what the heck happened! But we love her!

I can't wait until you can bring your baby home!

Those puppies sure have grown in a short week! I'm looking forward to reading about and seeing their progress.

Looking at the little one, I couldn't help but wonder if maybe he's Max reincarnated and he's come back to you! :)

I just know this new puppy will have a wonderful life with you. What will you name this new little bundle of joy?

All of the puppies are adorable and in a sad/happy way they remind us of the circle of life. We think Max would be so happy for you to find puppy-love again.

How beautiful they all are - and I see you've changed to a "he" rather than a "she". They are all beautiful, as are Molly & Flannigan. May they all grow up with good health and great families. We'll keep watching the postings and the growth of your puppy and the rest of the gang.

Yes, puppy breath is so sweet.

Hugs,

First of all, that video you put up is precious. Molly and Dad are so beautiful/handsome their babies will all be adorable loves.
I can't believe I'm sitting here bawling happy tears over that cute little baby. It was the puppy weigh in that got me. I'm so happy for you. Please keep us posted.
Love and happy tears from the holler!

I've thought of you so often over the past weeks, and felt guilty for not coming over here, and then, when you stopped by, I just couldn't stand it any longer, and doing my regular start at the bottom and work to the top, I come across this post, and just started crying at the beauty of it!

There really ISN'T anything better than puppy breath! And to see this sweet little thing from the very beginning is just to awesome! Blessings to you, my friend. Linda

Hey Ms. Caryl,
We've missed so much but we're starting from the bottom and working our way back to now but we're still back in then. Boy are we all excited. We, especially Jubal and Sophie, didn't have much trouble picking out the chosen one. If you've seen jubal and Sophie's picture y'all know why they are in strong agreement with you. We feel smiles from high up above. This will be sooooo much fun and boy is it exciting.
