GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
TOBY PUPPY here...
Hello there to all my furry-friends around the world!
It's Sunday and I am happy!...very happy!
I'm getting bigger and stronger every day and I take pride in being an absolute hooligan here at home (sometimes). The early morning is my most active time and I charge around the house and gather various interesting items for my growing nest - shoes, underwear, soft toys and whatever is available.
Last night I found a prize - Miss "R"s special ipod ear phones!!!..
....they didn't really work for me, so I chewed them up!
If the humans feed me my breakfast quickly, then I generally calm down a bit, but then I divert my attention to my willing 'AUNT-TAM' for a play session and a romp on the mattress in the corner of the bedroom...or in the garden...
We mouth each other and growl in euphoria and sometimes I let out my little 'Toby squeak'. Aunt Tam then gives me a few seconds break and then our game starts afresh.
Maxmom has made a good choice with my new puppy school...
It's name is....
(Drum roll.......)
Maxmom says that she really knows her subject..."Me"???...
...and she is a really pleasant person ...and she makes puppy classes FUN!
I feel really comfortable at her school and I think I am going to thrive.
The grounds are farmlike and spaceous and I got to meet a donkey and some sheep and chickens who were trying to be spectators.
There are some interesting pieces of equipment scattered around too. At the end of our lesson, us puppies (there were about 18 of us) were allowed to test out three obstacle courses - a maze and two tunnels. I LOVED the tunnels, but even though I tried, the trainers wouldn't give me a second turn!
Our lesson was great too!
"Ms Shannon" taught me how to handle boredom and to relax on lead so that Maxmom could learn something too. Us puppies were then taught "FREE" and we were allowed to romp and get to know our fellow puppy students. Look at this little one...her name is 'Miss Molly'
(??"Molly" is my mother's name!!!... can this be possible???)
I felt very comfortable and none of the puppies showed any signs of what these silly humans call 'aggression'.
Our class is a mixed bunch of all sorts of breeds that I've never seen before....very interesting indeed!
There were big ones and small ones, but I took a particular fancy to a little Basset puppy whose ears tripped him up every so often.
He's really cute though, but I think his ears should be clipped back in a pony tail for his class, BOL!

I am a bit of a loner though and I prefer to scout around and smell all the news, or look at the trees and humans...
The temperature was really hot on Saturday and some of us pups got a bit lethargic. But the organisers take great care to have plenty of water bowls dotted around the gounds. Everything is so well thought out and we took home a specially sponsored welcome pack from
ROYAL CANIN.
(They took great care to make my pack breed specific too....thank you!)
Maxmom has some homework to do to...
**she has to re-enforce my "SIT" and my "COME" commands and...
**She has to find out something to tell about my breed

(Somehow I think she knows quite a bit about my breed already, BOL!)
**She also has to study the Training CD which the school has given her...

Thank you, "Ms Shannon" for your pawsome training methods and for helping us pups to step up!
You have a great school! Now I am officially a student of...
Woof! Woof!
I would like to send lotsalicks to all my furry-friends around the world and a very special lick to my

Livestrong Day!

You are altogether too gorgeous, naughty Toby! And we just LOVE the photos of you and your aunt Tam!
Hey Toby pup, don't you look just the business in your little yellow hat! And what a good job you're doing clearing up all those thing and gathering them together for your Mum!
Gail and I are both fascinated to read about your first ever puppy class. How cool to have a donkey there. And isn't puppy class the BEST FUN EVER! Even Gail thinks so now, although I did overhear her saying to a friend that the one and only time she had doubts about whether she could cope with my 'feistiness' was lying in bed after the first ever class and thinking 'oh my god whatever have I let myself in for'. Apparently, as she recalls it, I spent the entire class yapping and trying to attack all the smaller dogs. But I think she has that all wrong. I was just extra enthusiastic about making new friends.....
Toodle pip!
Bertie.
Oh and Toby, I should have added that your positive approach to education makes you an excellent candidate for my geology field trip!

What a great day you had Toby. Good thing you are young and energetic, cause it tired me out just reading about it. Mischief, Tammy play, puppy school...WOW. I love the farm animals at your puppy school. What a good idea. Sounds like Ms Shannon knows her stuff.
Toby, I cannot believe that you are alredy 10 kg. Let's see, if you always gain one kg per week, you'll be 62 kg by the end of the year :) You're going to be a big boy!
Your class sounds like tons of fun. With every one of our dogs, I've had a blast at puppy school. Watching a pack of rolly-polly puppies play makes me laugh and laugh and laugh.
Keep your mom smiling, sweet Toby!
Great day at school! It looks like you are going to be a perfect student :)
Kisses,
Emma Rose
I love Toby!! I laughed through the post and pictured him in my mind stealing things and running with them including the Ipod ear thingys! Holly was so like that when she was young..everything went into her mouth if she could get to it. It keeps you on your feet and on the run doesn't it!! Love puppy school! Toby is going to graduate as an AA plus student!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly
You are going to learn so much very quickly!!!

I remember going to school too! I had lots of fun and I know that you will too Toby!
Mom and I just LOVE ALL of your pictures! You are just a cutie patootie!
I really like your new header too!
woo woos, Tessa
What a fun day you had at puppy school. We don't think you are a loner at all, you are just one confident and independent pup - all great qualities. Be sure to get Mom working on her part of the training, no slackers allowed - BOL.
Woos ~ Phantom, Thunder, and Ciara
Oh Toby - your mom is doing such a wonderful job socialising you and giving you lots of new experiences. Your puppy class looks great (there were no donkeys or chickens at mine!). I'd love to go there with you, and promise I'd play well with the little puppies and let them bounce all over me, plus I'd check out all the two legged animals to see which one gives me the best pats.
Woofs,
Riley
PS You are growing like I did... my weight matched my age in weeks and I grew 1kg a week until I was a big dog of 34kg, so my advice is to make the most of your mom carrying you around, sitting on her lap and giving you special cuddles while you still can!
We are PAWsative that you are going to be an A+ student - that is, if Maxmom does all of her studies☺
You are such a cutie patootie, aren't you? We just bet that you'll have those humans of yours trained furry much good to pick up their clothes and to not leave fun things within your reach - that is, if they don't want to have you nibble on them☺
It will be fun these next two weeks to watch you and Maxmom practice your studies! Maybe we will learn a thing or two!
Toby, looks like you had a great time at puppy school.
take care
Clive and Murray
toby,

i am certain that you will graduate at the head of your puppy class!! keep up the good work!
the booker man and asa'a mama
p.s. -- please thank your mom for her wonderful livestrong post.
Oh yes, I remember well Shiver's puppy stage where he gathered things up and chewed on them all. He still does it sometimes but now he does it for attention. I know that's why he does it because he comes and shows me what he has when he does it.
As long as you and your mom work together, Toby, I just know you'll be an A+ student!
All that pawesome puppy energy!
BUT I wonder if my word is a hint or two about the 'fun' woo get into -
The word is VICAR

Hi Toby Puppy
Thank you for sharing your first day of school with us! You are learning so much,, about all different kinds of animals and doggys, and chickies..
You look so smart sitting there in those photos. I can tell you are really listening. Oh , so much to learn for a little pup like you.
Your mama looks so happy and looks like a young teen ager. That must be because your puppiness is rubbing off on her,,,
FOREVER YOUNG!

What a great post, Toby! I loved your story and I felt I went to puppy school even though I'm not a puppy at all ;-) Looks likey you're growing in leaps and bounds and you are very well looked after. What a wonderful life you have. Bless you and your Maxmom!
Oh Toby - your post brought back memories of my Neeli going to puppy school (except ours was indoors because it was winter time). You are such a gorgeous little puppy - your pictures with Tammy Girl are just so sweet!
Neeli wants to remind you that not only will your MaxMom have homework from school - you will too! You need to learn a lot of things before you get to graduate!!!
Woofs

You sure have been busy, Toby! And you got more fun adventures ahead now that you are in puppy school.
Aunt Tammy is really doing a great job looking after you. We see that she is enjoying you company as much as you are enjoying hers. King Toffee is still his adorable royal self.
We love to see the smiles you bring to Maxmom's face everytime. So precious.
Love,

I love seeing Toby and Tammy enjoying each other!

Woo - puppy class AND Aunt Tam to wrestle with and learn from. You have it made!
Oh I know you and Toby will do a great job at pup school. Aunt Tammy looks like she has a school of her own! He's grown so much,,I can't believe how tall he's gotten. Still the cutest thing on the block.
Oh my goodness you are adorable. Glad your puppy class went well.
Toby, you're growing up too fast. If only we could keep you all little pups just a bit longer!
