A CHEERFUL AND GRATEFUL TIME!

GREETINGS FROM A REALLY BEAUTIFUL AND SUNNY
SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM  here...
Hello there, dear friends!
As you can see the Namaqualand daisies are blooming in all their glory.
Pavements in our city are awash in their orange splendour!
They are highlighted even more against the backdrop of our exquisite blue skies...
Our lavender is also giving off its ample fragrance right next to our bedroom windows...

Our trees, however are still bare, but are starting to show their tiny buds and the weaver bird in our garden is still constructing a stream of nests in the hope of female company.
TAMMY-GIRL...
... spends a lot of her time underneath the bird feeder,
in the hope that her feathered friends will share their bounty.
She's also plucked up the courage to try out the pool loungers when I invite her up.
I think she'd prefer to be under the bird-feeder though!
Walks are still on the cards.
(Please excuse KING TOFFEE's face make-up - he's taken to rolling in the leaves at every opportunity...strange doggie!!!)

We had a wonderful surprise this evening when "The Boss" walked in with a parcel all the way from Michigan in the USA.
had taken it upon himself so send his lady-love,
TAMMY-GIRL
a BIG and very thoughtful token of his affection...
As per his note, it seems that he is busy digging a hole, all the way from his garden in Michigan to our part of the world...just to be with TAMMY-GIRL.

Tammy girl is greatly enamoured with all MR SCOUT's efforts!!!
Not only that, but I received a few wonderful gifts from Mr Scout's dear momma...
Mimi has sent a little heart pin to me and has kept the matching one with her.
How touching it is to know that I share something with someone so far away.
Thank you, Mimi!!!
...and this little giraffe - made from recycled materials in support of the animal rescue site!
As if this wasn't enough, Mimi also sent me a beautiful lapel pin in honour of
MAXDOG
Thank you so, so much!!!
What wonderful friends I have!!!
I feel truly blessed to have been given so much kindness from folk that I've never met.
To all my friends, please accept this picture of one of the small flowers in my garden as a token of my appreciation for you all!
If you stare at it long enough, it should radiate my thanks to you!!!
I'm sorry I've not had much time on the blogs - either for posting or for visiting.
Things are rather busy here at the moment, so thank you for your understanding.
---xXx---
I'm hoping to be visiting the puppies tomorrow and hopefully will bring back some more photographs of how they've grown.  They are 3 weeks old at the moment and I can't wait to see what they look like!
---xXx---
Sending lotsaluv to you all and another special thank you to Mimi and Mr Scout!!!
You guys are great!!!

Spring headed your way and Fall headed my way--such moderate seasons, I like them best. What a wonderful surprise for you and Tammy girl!
King Toffee has a knack for pulling off any look he chooses. He's a cutie.
I admire the pictures (angles especially) you've posted. I saved the pink flower to my desktop. I'll think of you when I see it.
Can't wait to hear news of the pups!!

What lovely presents from Mr Scout and Mimi. We especially like the giraffe although Gail is muttering something about 'coals' and 'Newcastle'. We loved the picture of Tammy and Toffee, all eager anticipation at the prospect of a good walk. And finally, we can almost smell those beautiful flowers.
Cheers, Gail and Bertie.

Those flowers are gorgeous, I especially love the bright pink one.

Mr. Scout and his mama sent some wonderful gifts! I got a package in the mail today from a Paw It Forward exchange. My boys must've thought it was Christmas when they saw all the goodies they got.

I love that Hope Heal dogpaw pin. I also love that you'll have one half of a pin set and Mimi has the other. Very cool!

Mr. Scout is furry happy that the object of his affection yikes his most humble of offerings for her most beauteous of favors.

Caryl, I have been trying to decide what time of year I wanted to come to SA for a visit. Looks like spring just may be the perfect time. Daisies are one of my most favorite flower and seems like the local temps would be just about right to keep this northern gal cool and comfy.

Can't wait to see more photos of the new little one!
