RUFFITWOOD: "OUT OF AFRICA"

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM here...
"RUFFITWOOD OUT OF AFRICA"

Hello there to all my friends across the world!
(and also to the new visitors to this blog!)

As most of you know by this stage,
we have severe 'Puppy Fever' in this household!

The pups are just over Four Weeks old at the moment and they are growing in leaps and bounds!
We went to spend some time visiting with them yesterday. They were happily romping around in the back yard during our time with Zena and Alan and I can say...
They are simply fabulous!
I've taken many photographs and would like to post some of them up today for the purposes of keeping a long-term record.  So although this is a long post, I am sure you will bare with me as I 'overload' on photos.
---xXx---

Apparently there are some special people in Cape Town who will be giving a home to one of the 'brothers' in the litter.  I thought I'd put up a few pictures for them of their own little earmarked puppy too.
(It must be heart-wrenching to be so far away and not get to interact with him)

So here are the pictures of the 'brother' who will be going to Cape Town eventually.
...with my love...

To these special 'strangers' in Cape Town...
I wish you well with your little puppy! He is too beautiful for words!...and he looks very well indeed!

---xXx---

Now, on to my own little puppy.....

My pup has been officially registerred under his kennel name...

RUFFITWOOD: "OUT OF AFRICA"
(Don't you just love the name?!)

We still haven't settled on a final "day-to-day" name for him, but yesterday's favourite was

"TOBY"
(Only time will tell, which name it will eventually be).

So let's get on to the photos of our own little one...

(The 'Cape Town' brother on the left and our little one on the right)

Thank you to all my blogging friends for all your love which is coming my way through your comments and for your shared enjoyment of this great event in our lives.

A very special "THANK YOU!" to Alan and Zena at
RUFFITWOOD KENNELS
for allowing me, once again, to visit our new little pup.
We are extremely grateful for this privilege!

Also note:
I have pasted another video in the 'header' above of the pups at
FOUR WEEKS OLD!!!
Enjoy!
Sending lotsaluv to you all!

Those pups are fat and goofy, huh? I hope Tammy is ready for her little brother. Sheesh, momma says when I came home I tried to nurse off Beautiful Raja. I have no recollection of that but Tammy better watch her undercarriage.

Oh Caryl
Neeli wants to come down to visit the puppies too and bring one home - Apples isn't so sure though.

He is gorgeous and I'm sure you can't wait to bring him home. Love his official name too!

More pictures always welcome - we can't enough of puppies!

Hi Caryl

We haven't commented in a while but we are loving seeing all your puppy pictures. It is so nice of you to post pictures for the people in Cape Town, we didn't meet Tucker or Daisy until it was time to pick them up, so that will be a treat for them. Toby was one of my potential names for Tucker until my husband nixed it, so I am partial to it.

Have a great day, and soon you will be one day closer to the big day.

Heidi, Tucker and Daisy

This brings me happy memories of my Calhoun as a puppy. I lost many shirt sleeves and pant legs to those puppy teeth!! And then the pupply plop when he was exhausted. A train couldn't have awakened him! You look so happy holding him.

Hi MaxMom!!!

I was feeling very down until I gazed at those puppy photos. Imagine what a journey you're embarking on with that little guy! I can tell that he's bonding to *you* already. Isn't that an amazing feeling as the bond grows?

You are lucky to get to see him grow up in these early weeks. You've been through so much that it's a fitting gift for you.

I am restraining myself from investigating yellow lab pups. Every time I visit your blog, that's exactly what I want to do next!

Thanks so much for sharing the puppy love with us! Can you bottle some puppy breath to send to us? Puppy breath is amazing.

Hi Caryl!! You could post pictures all day long of the puppies and I would gladly sit here and look at each and every one! They are so precious!! The fourth picture from the end is one of my favorites...where they are sleeping all stacked on each other! I just love puppies and yours is going to have such a wonderful and special home! Four weeks...just four more weeks and you will be taking him home for good! How exciting!! Lots of love, Debbie and Holly

I'm not sure there is anything cuter than a baby yellow dog, unless it's a pile of baby yellow dogs! What wonderful pictures!

His kennel name is wonderful for a dog that will have (and already does have) his life followed by people all around the world.

Mum could look at your puppy photos and videos for hours playing spot the difference between the photos you've taken each week! What a wonderful gift his breeders have given you allowing you to visit while he is so young, and how exciting it must be watching him change, whispering potential names into his ears (as you find the right one), and being able to hold him close. His belly fur looks so soft and fluffy!

PeeEssWoo: Mom says Toby is a nice enough name but doesn't feel right to her - she still thinks there is something related to your heritage that would embody him - but pay no mind to her - she's just babbling again

Absolutely beautiful pups!!! Toby is an awesome name, when I was naming Parker, I thought of Toby for the reason that it could be short for Toblerone (me being swiss + Parker being chocolate).
