Caryl, I cannot tell you how sad I am by this news. I am so sorry for your loss. There will be a new star in the sky tonight. Duncan and I will be sure to stop and say a blessing for him and to marvel at the new beauty that looks over this world.
I was so so sorry to hear the news that sweet Toffee had gone to the bridge.I send you love and hugs and hope they help a little. Now sweet Toffee is running with Maxdog at the bridge. Run free little one run free.. Hugs Carol and GJ xx
I'm so very sorry. And yet when your furry family member has lived such a good life, there's no reason to grieve for them; our grief is for us, not having their gentle presence with us any longer.
Take comfort in your other animals, and be at peace with yourself because Toffee had such a good life!
I am so sorry! Toffee is indeed running free and sharing fun times with Max once again. Though your heart is breaking, know that others are here for you.
We were all so very sorry to hear this news Caryl. I know how much Toffee meant to you all. Thnk you for giving him such a loved and happy life ~ and a gentle passing.
Many tears here upon reading yesterday's post and then today's. You are right - King Toffee lived life to the Max. But, I still mourn his passing, which hits me especially hard right now.
sweet Toffee....you helped raise those crazy golden dogs, you were such a little trooper....what a wonderful life you had....you will be missed, but never forgotten..... xoxo
I'm so very sorry to hear the news about King Toffee. I remember so well his antics as you wrote them down in your book. I think about him often as he reminds me so much of my Angel...a pup who left me all too soon in 2010.
Toffee is with Max now and they are probably ruling their section of Rainbow Bridge together. He will be safe forever in your heart.
Caryl, your heart must be breaking. I am so, so sorry about Toffee's passing. It's not important how old he was - your family loved him and they will miss him. Fifteen years goes by so quickly. Sending tender thoughts to all of you as you mourn the death of your Little King.
My heart is breaking for your family's sadness. To watch King Toffee slip into a distant yet familiar land is hard. I also know this decision was so hard to make. 15 years is a long time to have a furry child, and then to say goodbye. You gave Toffee so much love. I have a feeling Maxdog was waiting at the Bridge for him. Run free sweet Toffee,, run and play with Max. love tweedles
Caryl, I'm so sorry, your house must feel that bit emptier today, missing the small dog with the big presence. Toffee was so fortunate to have enjoyed a long life in your loving home (despite the presence of the 'big dogs'). Love and best wishes, Gail.
MAXMOM.... Tears are forcing their way to my eyes as I type these words, emotion flowing strong like blood in our veins. This is the most difficult part about loving these beautiful four-legged creatures. They outlive us every time. Hurting alongside you.... Across many, many, many miles. ~Raelyn
I came again today to tell you that I am holding you in my heart. My heart is breaking for you. King Toffee knew you would listen to what he needed - and you did. There is no bigger gift, Holding you all close.... love tweedles

Dear Caryl, with my brother visiting last week, I didn't keep up with facebook or the blogs, and now see what I have missed. I am so, so sorry to read about the loss of your precious Toffee. We both know that this is the price we must pay for the joy our four legged family members bring into our lives. It's a heavy price but it compares nothing to the brightness and love they share with us, unconditionally. I hope you continue to find comfort in celebrating Toffee's life with your amazing creativity, and in the life that surrounds you and the love and comforting thoughts I am sending to you this morning.
