HELLO...I'M TOBY!

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!

"mmmm...Mom?  How do I start? Okay..."

Hello everybody in the world,
My name is...
TUBBY TOBY
Woof!

Mommy says that I am a Golden puppy....is that right, Maxmom?
I am 8 weeks old and I have been here at my new home for two sleeps lots of little sleeps already.
I love my new garden...

But I don't like it when MAXMOM is on the other side of the swimming pool...

I bark at her when it is between us... I'm not sure how to get around it yet...

I am trying to get used to that thing in her hand - I think they call it
"the flashy beast."
..because Maxmom says I am too fast for her and I blurr the photographs. What does she mean?

Anyway, I think my Mommy is really cool!
 I enjoy cuddling with her!
Why must I call her "Maxmom"?
I thought she was my mom?

But she says that her name comes from wanting to be the best doggie-mom that she can be for me.  She says that it also is because she was the mom to MAXDOG who use to live here. He seemed to be a popular fella...hope I can be popular one day too...

Is it okay with you peoples that we still call her:
"MAXMOM"?
TOBY'S max mom?

I had lots of fun things to do yesterday...
I had to meet my brother and sister. I try not be too pesky with them...they are soooo Old!
But I like the TAMMY-GIRL!

Yes, I do!
...she's nice to me and wants to look after me when  KING-TOFFEE snarls at me.  Mr King doesn't snarl at me too often...just when I get too close to him.  I hope he will like me one day..

I don't mind the King, but  I like my waterbowl better.
Water bowls don't snarl at me!

I also love the cool floor tiles!

That is where I slept last night!

MAXMOM says I was a very good boy!
I only woke her up once last night - and that was to go and do my 'potty' outside.
I have only had two accidents and that was when I got too excited because one of the girls got home.... I love it when all the family come home!

Last night MAXMOM and the pack took me on a short walk.  But I am still small and I get tired, so eventually they carried me home.

But it was nice to be with them all and I am getting use to my new lead.
My collar is very itchy though...

I love my food.  I get fed 3 times a day.

And I love the floor of Maxmom's bathroom.
Sometimes her clothes lie there behind the door and then I lie on top of them....I know her smell by now.

Okay, I must go now.  I hope you like my video and my new header picture...
"Maxmom, what's a header picture??"

TUBBY TOBY... 24 HOURS!

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM here...
Hello there to all my friends across the world!
Whew! Why didn't you guys tell me that puppies are such hard work!?

("Mom!...give me that potplant back!")
After a sleepless night, the first thing that our little pup did was to sniff out the place I was hoping he wouldn't sniff out...and to sample one of my pot plants.
Then he claimed the big dogs' bed in our bedroom....

(Toby trying to take over prime sleeping space!)

I'm exhausted and TUBBY TOBY hasn't been home for more than 24 hours yet!
Oh man, he's adorable!
(Toby has taken to sleeping "IN" his water bowl!)
I had very little sleep last night (as expected) but I suppose that this will be the first of many. Tammy-Girl and King Toffee are very uncertain about the changes under our roof at the moment, but I am sure that with a little time all will settle.
Tammy is keen to adopt the little one, but is still not quite sure how this is done.
(Golden friends)
If you thought that King Toffee is absent from the above photo, think again!....If you look carefully, you can observe him admiring himself in the wall mirror in our lounge
(Right back of photo).

The mirror has become a souce of great entertainment....to Toby...who thinks that:
"It is good to bark back at a puppy that is barking at you!".
We visited the Vet this morning to get TUBBY TOBY micro-chipped
(I don't want to have any concerns about him being 'lost' and not being "found")
and then we came home to meet up with ASTA (the guide dog puppy).
We had tea in the garden...
It was 'fun' at first sight!
The two of them are going to be very good playmates, it seems.

They romped and rolled and shared toys.

Then they played in the water sprinkler...

TOBY knows to seek refuge under the chair when he's had enough playing.

TAMMY-GIRL and KING TOFFEE took one look at the prevailing puppy energy and retreated to safer ground.

Eventually TOBY 'called it a day' and opted to sleep up some more energy on the cool grass.

Later he retired to the "cool" of the bathroom tiles...

I don't feel so young anymore...any advice on how to retain my own energy? :)
I love the little mite to bits!
But now I am off to try and get some 'shut-eye' too! :)
Sending some of my love to you too...

TOBY IS HOME!!!!!

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM here...
Hello there to all my friends across the world.
TOBY IS HOME!!!!

Yes...you heard me right!
It was a big surprise!....
A WONDERFUL SURPRISE!!!
We went to visit him this morning and discovered that he was ready to come home. Three of Toby's siblings had already gone to their forever homes and Zena said that if I wanted to, I could bring him home today! What a question! Of course I wanted to!!!!

A future show-dog maybe?
"Getting ready to go home is hard work!"
He had to say good-bye to his siblings...
And to "Granny Zena"...
Once he was home, there was so much to do...
New places to explore...
New friends to meet...
Food!  Don't forget food!...
New toys to test...
Time for a snooze...and another snooze...
Time to test the floor...
A bit of nostalgia...
Time to test the 'old' toys....remember, Murray?
Time to romp with mom...
"Nice place this forever home!!!"...
"Nice garden too!"...

A brand new team...
I would like to extend my sincerest thanks and appreciation to
Zena and Alan at
RUFFITWOOD GOLDEN RETRIEVERS
for being such incredible breeders and such warm friends!
Through your generosity over the past 71/2 weeks, I have been given the gift of sharing the beginnings of my special dog's life. This is a privilege not many owners or animals get... I am so blessed!
I can't thank you enough!!!

To all my friends across the world...
ANOTHER ERA BEGINS!
Sending lotsaluv to you all!
