"TOBY".....PUPPY OVERLOAD!

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!!!
MAXMOM here...
Hello there everyone...
We drove across the city again today for my weekly dose of "Puppy"!
The pups are 5 WEEKS OLD now and they have, once again, grown so much.  They all weigh over 4kgs at the moment.
They are so beautiful!...especially mine!
(but then again, I am biased!)
and it seems that I've almost settled on the name...

"TOBY"

He reminds me of the chocolate; "Toblerone"!
I'm not sure if you get this particular chocolate in your countries, but it is really yummy!
Smooth (like his fur) and creamy looking (like him)
"Toby" is also a character from one of my favourite childhood storybooks. I spent a lot of time reading and re-reading that particular little book when I was a child.
(like the amount of time I will be spending with Toby too)
But most of all - it suits my little pup!!!
He is so laid back - like I would be when savouring a piece of this particularly creamy, white chocolate.
Yes....I think he will be called

my..."TOBY"

(Sleeping on Mom's chest)

(Playing in the wood pile)
(Shoving for snout rubs.)

(Look deep into my eyes..."I'm yours, Mom!')
(Sleepy puppy)
("I don't mind being walked over!")
(Standing in line for the water bowl..mmm...?)
(Sleeping in the water bowl)
I have to wait another three, long weeks before Toby comes home to us.
Please keep your paws crossed that he'll remain healthy and vital during that time.
Sending lotsaluv to you all...

Oh My gosh, he is totally gorgeous or I guess we should say, he is so handsome. Toby is the perfect name and we think he is very special. He just has that look about him, that he is going to be such a good boy. Don't know how you are going to stand waiting that long.
Have a great day.

Toby, just continues to get more handsome as the weeks go by.
We love the name Toby. The Hebrew version is Tobias, which means "God is Good" .
Very fitting we believe.

Toby is a terrific name for this little sweetie!

It's been a while since I've left a comment on your blog, probably not since Max's passing, as I'm more of a lurker. But today I just wanted to say how thrilled I am that Toby has come into your life and that he will be coming home soon. All the photos show the deep love you already have for him--and he for you, I do believe. I truly am overjoyed for you, Caryl, and wish you all a long and happy life together, with much laughter and many blessings.

(Now I'll go back to lurking....)

Toby is just so precious! He's gotten so big this past week. And to think he still has so much more to grow.

I know three weeks sounds agonizingly long but at least your over half way there to bringing him home.

I love Toblerone chocolate. Haven't had any in years. They used to sell it at one of the stores here and still might, haven't checked for it in awhile.

We just adore the picture of Toby upsidedown on your lap!
On Nantucket, there is a restaurant called Captain Toby's and they are famous for their chowder. The New England clam chowder is white. We think of Nantucket everytime we hear Toby's name!

Love ya lots

Oh Caryl it has been a long road has'nt it?

Toby, yes that name really does seem to fit him when you describe him. I do believe that MaxDog will be proud! I also think that Tammy will fall in love with a little brother too.

Well then,

Tobi, welcome! We look forward to your first day in your forever home with some WONDERFUL people!

Love ya, Blu and Tessa too

He is WONDERFUL and, yes, we have that chocolate over here, too. YUM! That little guy is so darling. There's just something about the way he looks into the camera that makes you want to love him all the more.

You've got a winner, Caryl, yes, you do!

Toby is such a cutie pie! Tammy's going to think he's her little Mini Me. And falling asleep in the water bowl - looks like he'll be in the swimming pool by summertime!

Give him a kiss on that sweet round head for us!

He's so cute, and growing so fast! What was the book you read as a child? The only Toby character my mum can recall from her childhood was seeing Toby the dog in a Punch and Judy puppet show.

It's wonderful that your weekly visits mean that he will know your voice, smell, hugs and love when you take him home. Toby's a very lucky puppy.

My mom kept going "sigh" and "sigh" at every picture! I know most puppies are cute but he's totally at the tops of the cuteness quotient for maybe any puppy ever born! We luvs his name and, well, pretty much everything about him.

We just can't wait til you gets to bring him home!

Dear Caryl,
Toby seems to be the best name for your cute puppy. I'm thousands of kilometres away from you but I can feel your puppy fever very good.
Best wishes for you and your family from Alsace/France.
