MAXMOM here...

Hello there everyone...

I thought you might enjoy a little video to get you into the Christmas mood...

I would like to say a special "Thank you" to everyone who has been sending Christmas cards, wishes and electronic messages.  We are always so touched to know that others are thinking of us.

We were also delighted to recieve this card in the post:

Something looked oddly familiar about this card (?) and then we realised what it was:

The card was from Zena and Alan at
How exciting!
I wish I had the facility to make such beautiful cards...
I'll have to somehow get my act together next year!
But it is quite an 'honour' to have Toby grace their Christmas cards this year.
Thank you, Alan and Zena!

We have also received other fabulous cards through the post, from our blogging buddies around the world.
Here are a few:
we have also received some fabulous smile box cards and electronic messages.
Thank you so much everyone!

Finally I thought you might enjoy a few pictures from our neighbourhood:
There is some amazing creativity happening on our door step. Christmas is being recycled...

(A Christmas tree)

(Recycled decorations in the walkways of the Malls)

(A close-up of one of those decorations)

(An 'evening' view of that same walkway)
...and finally...
The most impressive private home in our neighbourhood!:

Enjoy all the festivities!
...and please don't forget to scroll to the top of the page to watch
Sending lotsaluv to you all,

Hello Caryl! I so enjoyed Toby's first video and seeing the signs of Christmas that are all around you and the ones that have come via the mail--I'm still trying to get my cards written, so maybe you'll see something from us by Valentine's day! ;-))

Lovely video of Toby boy. He is so good when he is asleep and/or eating....BOL Love the recycled decorations; great idea.

Wishing everyone in SA and especially you and your family a Happy Christmas.

PS: We watched Ernie win the SA Open golf tournament this morning. It was an all SA top 4. Beautiful place.

Hi Toby
That was such a lovely little video! You look so peaceful and content, lying there besides your Christmas stocking. And I must tell you that Gail, who likes to pretend she isn't sentimental at all, is just sitting in front of the computer going all "ooh" and "aaah" and "isn't he so cute Bertie?" and playing the video over and over again.

I love those recycled decorations - very creative!

What an honor that they'd use Toby's picture for their Christmas card!

I can't believe Toby didn't try to chew up that stocking. Even as an adult doggie, Shiver would have chewed it to pieces.

I ♥ the fact that SA neighborhoods dress up their homes with lights, too. One of our family traditions is to pile into the car and cruise our little town admiring the light displays on the lawns. It's such a magical time of the year.
