WEEKEND GOLDEN WONDERS...

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
TOBY here...
WOOF!
This morning, I woke up to a sparkling new world.

It had been raining last night and I went to investigate the garden.
I discovered a Hadedah Ibis on my neighbour's aerial.
Obviously, I had to turn on my neighbourhood alarm-clock!
(And let me tell you, I have a VERY LOUD BARK!)
Afterall, why should humans sleep in on a Saturday morning?

I've been thinking:
I've actually had a really busy week:
There were a few practice sessions for my role as
'Sandy'
in the forthcoming production of
 'Annie'
(Just 2 months away!)
("Annie" and me)

We also had a photoshoot on Thursday evening.
And I've been busy with my continuous training.
(Practicing my 'bow' with Maxmom)
But now its weekend - and a long weekend, for that matter - so I'll be spending some quality time with my family.
(The "King" and Aunt Tam')

I love being around my humans - they always have treats lurking in their pockets.

Anyway, it rained last night and the world looks clean again.

(With so much mud around, this could well mean
that I won't be clean for long! BOL!)

I'm beginning to understand why my predecessor, the great
enjoyed the garden so much...

There is so much to discover - interesting flowers...
unusual smells...
Sunshine...
and a very large water bowl.
If you look up into the trees there are leaves which are changing colour, and birds...

and fungus growing on the wet tree-stems...

The world that I live in is really beautiful.
I am a 'Golden Retriever' and Maxmom is my 'Receiver',
how great is that?!

It seems that the great 'Maxdog' was right...

We must seize every day!
We must..
LIVE IT TO THE MAX!!!

So, dear friends, please may I wish you all a very happy weekend.
What a blessing it is to have such wonderful cyber-buddies!

Hi Toby

thanks for joining my blog. Aren't weekends excellent? I've been thinking about the pooches in Northern Japan; I might write something tomorrow about them and, of course, their owners.

The garden pictures are great! It's good to know that Toby is no respecter of napping as is our pack. Your Annie looks like the real deal with that red hair. Is it a wig or is she just a real red head? She's lovely.
I hope that you all have a wonderful weekend. Blessings from all of us in the holler...

Good job Toby getting everyone up early on a Saturday morning. With such a wonderful day, why waste it in bed? Take care, no worries, love Carol.

Toby, you have had a busy week indeed. Love the neighborhood alarm clock. I will think of that next time Cricket runs out early in the am and barks.

Hi Toby and Family!!

To start, thank-you for the kind thoughts on the loss of our boy Tanner...It never gets easier to lose one of our 4 legged family members...But having friends near and far always provides so much comfort! And knowing you have to get up early the next morning to feed those with 4 legs is always a reminder of life continuing and the joy of having pups like YOU, Toby in our lives!!

I hope you've had a good day!!!!
