Great swimming moves, Toby! You do remind us of how Max loved the pool. Hope you always enjoy sunshines to make swimming more refreshing for you.

Toby, who has the good life! That sounds delightful. Enjoy! Our water is frozen here.

Wow, Toby has grown so big since I saw him last...he's a lanky teenager now...no longer a chubby puppy ;-)

Enjoy your summer, the pool looks inviting!

All the best,
Doris and Gizzy :-)

Hi Tobes! Well I can see that you're having a great time there, and thank you so much for inviting me over and offering to teach me to swim. But as you know, we terriers are not in general enthusiastic water dogs. Gail says how about she get's to swim and I get to play with you on dry land??

Goldens were MADE to swim. Such a delightful part of what makes them such a fantastic breed. I might be just a little bias.

I wish I could have a pool like that at my house. All I had when I was your age was a children's plastic paddling pool, but I couldn't swim in it - however I do go to the beach sometimes which is fun.

Although we pups are sitting here pining away for the ever elusive snow, it is quite refreshing to see you enjoying that beautiful pool.

I'm envious of your warm weather. It's snowy and cold here! I'm happy you're out and enjoying it though.

I can't believe how big you're getting!

Toby...those pix of you in the pool brought tears to Mumsie's eyes...she said you reminded her of somedog, but frankly, I think you are unique...I supposed I hafta go get her a tissue...hold on a sec...

You are a growing pup...you look like you will be passin' up Aunt Tam soonest???

And that weather...we have snow. And ice. Yeesch...

Kisses, Toby and love to the rest of the pack!!

And one sunny day
Aunt Tam said to me
"Come on Toby.
I will show you how to swim.
Just stick your paw in
and splash real big
Then do it again and again.
Now come on in
and follow me
this is how its done
just follow my tail
and be brave
pretend your a beaver
then when you climb on out
just shake real hard,,
That is how its done
Now lets do it again..

Hey Caryl (or Maxmom) :-) and Toby! Sorry about being so unfaithful to reading here! I have been so busy - I always fall so far behind on blogs!

This post reminded me that Simba really needs to learn how to swim. Poor guy has never been to a pool...the biggest body of water he's been around is his bathe tub...and he doesn't like it much. ;-)

Holiday Cheers,

Paige & Simba
