A LITTLE LAUGH...

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
MAXMOM here...

I thought I'd lighten up the blog slightly today!

I received this photograph via email from a good friend .
I'm not sure where it originates, but it caught my sense of humour and prompted a hearty laughing fit.
I hope it has the same effect on you all.
(Thank you, Margie!  :))

---xXx---

This is really sad....

Wishing all my readers a very...
HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY ON SUNDAY!
With lots of love from us all.

PS: On second thoughts,
the image of this picture is getting to me...
so I thought I better tell you that indeed I have also been a

'Chicken mommy"
Just to prove it, here are pictures of our own personal brood...
which we hatched via incubator a few years ago...

Can you imagine what my kitchen looked like?...

Can you imagine what my bedroom looked like?...

But my chickens were the most adorable brood in the universe!...

And I was, most definitely their mommy!

HAPPY MOTHERS DAY!
With love

Oh, that photo is hilarious! Thanks for sharing. My mom has been gone for several years now - she, my dad and their dog are watching us all from heaven. They give new meaning to me when I pray "communion of saints." Thanks, folks! Blessings to Maxdog, Tammy, King Toffee and your other little dog and you as well on this special weekend.

Hey there!
Just a quick answer to one of the questions:...

WERE THE DOGS AROUND DURING THE CHICKEN PHASE?...

Yes, Max, Tammy and Toffee were around during the chickens....one big happy family!!! We'd all go off into the garden together - to hunt for earthworms. I had Max at my side, a trowel in my hands and two eager chickens attempting to fly behind me. What fun times!

I laughed at your first picture, and your chickens were so cute.

Riley made me smile on my Mothers Day this morning - he's the only young one in our house. Riley deleivered a white rose (cut from my garden by his human dad)to me in bed - only by the time he got there he had hidden the whole thing (stem and bud) inside his mouth - so now I have one very slobbery rose in a vase beside me as I type this. Have a great Mother's Day with all your family.

Wonderful! I saw that first image a day or two ago - maybe on a blog - maybe in an email? But your follow-up pix are amazing and no, I can't imagine a kitchen, bedroom or house with any of that brood around! Congrats!
