RHINO POACHING AFFECTS US ALL!

GREETINGS FROM SOUTH AFRICA!
TOUR GUIDE TOBY here...
Hello there to all our fur-friends around the world!
I know you can help a little bit...

Everyday, here in South Africa, Rhino's are being threatened.
Poachers cruelly and ruthlessly kill these beautiful creatures for their horns. Syndicates are responsible for darting these animals and hacking off their horns - leaving them for dead. Often these animals suffer for hours before they eventually succumb to a painful and cruel death.

Can you imagine a world without Rhino's?
Well, it might not be as impossible as it sounds...

Even today, while we were looking through our folder of photographs, we suddenly discovered that we don't have ANY photographs of our own to show you?!
Can you believe it? Not a single photo of a Rhino?!
We have photos of almost all the other species of animals, but NOT ONE of a Rhino!!!
Each of us is capable of helping to stop this assault on these beautiful creatures.  Many of us may not have the money to contribute, but we most certainly have our VOICES
YES, YOU CAN help by creating awareness of this massive problem.
We can all unite and spread the word!
Every conversation you have about the Rhino will help in creating awareness around the world.
This is the least we can all do!

You can also join the campaign to save our Rhino by visiting and joining some of the sites who are fighting to save these beautiful creatures:

I am really sad for our Rhino's...

Hi Toby, it makes our family sad too. We have seen some shows on TV where the Rhino's are sedated and then their horns carefully cut off. Then they are released again, thus stopping anyone else from killing them for their horn. The are certainly a majestic animal and we agree with your views totally. No worries, and love, Stella

What a great post! We don't like any kind of poachers. It's just not right to cause any animal pain and to take his life for such a dumb reason. It's cruel and inhumane!

Love ya lots,
Maggie and Mitch

Oh Toby this is so sad. ANY cruelty to ANY animal should be SEVERLY punished!

Some hoomans are real poopie heads and only think about monies.

You is doing a good job getting the word out.

Hi Maxmom, we agree with you and believe that the folklore and cultural aspects that drive this sort of nonsense needs to drastically change. A rhino's horn belongs on its owner and not on the end of a dagger or used in a "medicinal concoction". I'd be a happier puppy if those poachers received the end of that horn up their "exit" pipe :)

hey Toby,

What a wonderful message to get out, thank you! Rhinos are such beautiful, unique creatures and our World would suffer a great loss if they were to be driven to extinction.

I don't know what is wrong with some humans who ruthlessly slaughter and torture animals for money. Stupid money.

I will do what I can to help save the Rhinos. Again, thank you for getting the word out. Power of the Paws!!!

Caryl, you know I'm on your side! Sometimes I wonder what our earth would look like if man had never set foot on the planet. I wonder what animals would still be walking through forests and jungles and I wonder what vegetation would pop up from the soil each spring that no longer graces this world of ours. I'm on your side...
